Japanese Gyoza

I love gyoza and also the Shanghai version found in dim sum restaurants with the vinegar and sliced ginger sauce. Gyoza is sort of like wantan but using a thicker skin. Inside, the fillings are normally minced pork with vegetables.

Recipe : Secret recipe of khau yoke (yam with belly pork)

I have tried making woo-thau khau yoke but failed miserably. After asking around, I got the secret recipe. Hahaha, it is a family secret so I shall just give the basics stuffs because I swear to keep the family secret, secret.

East meets west pizza (siew yoke & mee-koo)

This idea came from Cooking Island’s couple, Lawrence and Erina. They gave me this marvellous idea to use mee-koo as the pizza base, pizza font as the sauce, siew bak (siew yoke/roasted pork) as the meat fillings and topped with mozarella cheese to complete it.

Bak kwa - Barbeque meat (no it is not Chinese New Year!)
