I was introduced to the biggest prawns char koay teow from Ah Leng. Ah Leng’s stall is at this corner coffeeshop between Jalan Dunlop and Jalan Dato Kramat. When you get to the former Federal Theatre, just look out for it. If I am not mistaken, there is a used car shop next to it.
I had this plate of char koay teow with prawns, mantis prawns, cockles and duck egg for RM8.50. Well, there are four giant sizes prawns, the biggest evar. So, I wouldn’t say it is expensive because one can never find prawns this huge.
Flavour wise, it is not exactly the most delicious as I found it too spicy and the chili overwhelmed the taste. However, who has the time for that whe there is the prawn in the mouth to make you forget everything momentarily?

(July 21, 2007 - 8:01 am)I saw this one on my way to Penang Hill. Didnt manage to try it, though i did try the Lan See Po Lorong Selamat and Sisters CKT.
But hor, the portion of CKT in Penang is so small .. even though we paid for RM4 and above for it
