Air Itam Laksa - try it!
I haven’t eaten this laksa for like 20+ years because laksa is not one of my favourite. Funny but I just don’t fancy laksa as much as most women do. So, last week, I decided to give it a try and now, I must make an announcement to all the dear readers of Food Haven.
If you come to Penang, make sure you try out the laksa at Air Itam market. I had taken a photo of the stall like 2 years ago but can’t find it now. The stall is located by the drain side along the market building. Very, very authentic eating arrangement.
I didn’t take a photo of the laksa because I tapau it home and it certainly doesn’t look good in photos. The gravy is thick with fishes and the taste is just right. Not too sour and with a tinge of sweetness.
During the day, it is certainly too hot. But visit the place at night when the pagoda is lighted. It is a sight to behold.
