lion dance

Chinese New Year is such an interesting festival. Compare to the others, it is one of the loudest with the lion dance cymbals, gongs and drums. It is one of the most colourful with red banners, red lanterns and red everywhere.

Chinese red steam bun (mee koo)

Even the buns have to come in the signature red and pink. The above is the mee koo or steamed wheat flour bun. It is a must have for all happy occassions like weddings, prayers and Chinese New Year.
