Drastic price increases
I have not been eating out much lately because of the horrendous price increase in foods. I can sense that others are following suit too because on Mother’s Day, I went to this restaurant and it was totally deserted. Not believing it, I passed by another much more famous restaurant and that too is only half filled.
Gone were the bustling business the food industry enjoys. I am not surprise that more and more restaurants are going to close down due to the phenomenal price increases not felt for a long time and also the cutting costs by patrons.
Soon, people will need to get restaurant loans to survive. But on the other hand, I suggested to my hubby that we should start a really cheap foods restaurant serving staple foods because when those fine dining folks stopped going to expensive restaurants, they can eat economically.
I failed to understand how prices can escalate by 100% within weeks.
