Fans of Cher

This is not your regular food photos and recipes post. A friend asked me if I am a fan of Cher. And I retorted bluntly, “DOH!!! You actually think I am that OLD?” She doesn’t know my age but her reason is since I can cook so many traditional dishes like her grandmother, then, I must be in my 50s or 60s. We have never met and only exchange emails and MSN. I am so, so amused because judging my age from the foods I cook? Whoever heard of that?

Anyway….yes, I did watch the Sonny and Cher weekly entertainment show when I was about ten years old, I think. The amazing thing about Cher is her long, black and straight hair that seems to remain like permanently. There was also a point when she sported the afro style hair. If I remember correctly, she always played a part as a witch in one of the movie.

Cher is one of those women who never age and seems to get better with age. Last I heard she even clinched a spot at Caesar Palace and will be taking over the spot from Celine Dion. Her show is starting sometimes in May 2008 so if you are a fan of Cher, you may want to check out the details. Cher tickets at Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas are available for sale too.

As for me, I will stick to the younger singers so that none of the people I know start to guess my age according to the type of music I listen. Yeah, I know that’s pretentious but when people actually mistaken you for a 50 years old woman, you cannot be too sure, can you?
