Hai Boey - for the freshest seafoods
I have some really lovely photos of the seafoods found at Hai Boey, Gertak Sanggul, Penang. It is a very secluded seafood place by the beach. The location is via Bayan Lepas to Teluk Kumbar. So, if you intend to go, remember to ask a local because you willl definitely get lost in the dark. Teluk Kumbar is my hubby’s old hometown and each time we go, it is like going home.
The freshest garoupa steam with just soya sauce. I am still on vegetarian fast but my hubby told me the flesh is so solid and sweet. RM59 for a big one.
Prawns fried with butter and a hint of spiciness from the curry leaves.
There are more photos but I have used them in my personal blog. So, check out Hai Boey the next time you want to entertain your foreign friends. I am sure they will love the views of the sea, the foods and the clean environment. No broken huts.

KS - Go to Bayan Lepas, head to Teluk Kumbar, after the pekan there is a branch to go Balik Pulau and Gertak Sanggul. Turn left to go Gertak Sanggul. You need to open eye big big for the sign cos it is rather hidden.
