I love this corner coffeeshop at Jalan Sri Bahari and Penang Road. It is always packed during lunch time because of the chicken rice, loh bak and other hawker foods which are very good. The coffeeshop is call Kheng Pin and is opposite the Oriental Hotel. They are open only for lunch.
If you around the area, do try the loh bak. They have some lovely squids, prawns fritters, the loh bak (pork wrapped with soyabean skin) and other stuffs.
The chicken rice is also good but the stall always sold out their chicken very early. So, the best time to go is around 11-12 noon.

(October 15, 2007 - 1:53 am)I had the chicken rice bfore but i don’t think its good. The chicken is rough, rice so so and tasteless soup. No where near Goh Tiau Chek at Chulia Street.
Nevertheless, lor bak is ok. Just dun like the sombong uncle.

(October 15, 2007 - 8:34 am)I would suggest to boycott the chicken rice seller there as the couple selling it is quire arrogant & snobbish. I had an experience once when I ordered a plate of chicken rice, they told me to wait for 1/2 hour else forget about it….Jian comment is true, not one of the nicer chicken rice around…I had better ones…..there is however one stall selling porridge & they also do sell some nasi lemak….quite nice
The Wan Than Mee is also nice if u put the sambal unto it

The stall is located together with a famous ochien stall (really good). The corner coffee shop is at the beginning of Kimberly Street, along Carnavon Street.
I will never visit this coffee shop at Sri Bahari Road even the lor bak is the best in Malaysia. So wat he got an award for his lorbak. Ish…
