Luncheon ham and canned pineapples
Sometimes, I wonder what they use to make ham? There are some which are rather cheap and consist of a bit of meat and lots of flour, I suppose. The price of these sort of ham is of course much, much cheaper than those French ham, English roasted ham and etc which are made with the whole leg of the pig.
I bought one of those cheaper variety from the deli and asked the butcher to cut the ham in the thickness of three regular slices. I.e. thick slabs of ham.
I just checked my old post and noted that the other time I made this pineapple and ham was almost a year ago. Hmm…not bad as I didn’t serve my kids with such unhealthy foods all year round.
