I didn’t get a photo of this Mee Juta but I have to tell you it is good. It is good naked. Naked as in no garnishing, no meats, no char siew. Only a little gravy and spring onion plus its sourish chillies and chopped garlic.
The noodle is handmade with eggs and the texture is very Q-Q or springy. Head over to Erina’s new blog http://www.sembangntalk.blogspot.com/ and read her post about this Mee Juta found at Goodall Hawker Centre.
The actual noodle comes garnished with chicken and char siew but since I am not eating meats temporarily, I asked them to leave it out. So, I had this plate of bare noodle with spring onion. Of course, it is not enough to fill me up so I ordered a bowl of yong taufoo soup with ‘chee chai’ (seaweed) and fu pei plus vegetables. Yummmm….
