My screeching pressure cooker

I have a set of pressure cooker that costs a bomb. It is made in Germany and so far, is the best that I can find. I love the safety features and also the ease of use.

However, the last few days, instead of whistling like it normally does, it gives off a sharp, shrill screech that is so annoying. I was wondering what cause it and thought that probably a piece of food must have dislodged in some valve.

I asked hubby to check and he found that it is caused by a torn rubber valve. So, we tried going back to the shop to get a replacement but they told us we need to contact the manufacturer direct.

I hope they do have a replacement. I would hate to start shopping for a new one because I love using the pressure cooker in my cooking as it cuts down a lot of time.
