My most memorable meal at New Lane in Dec last year- awful oh-cien. Haven’t tried the thong sui, will try the next time I’m back.. but really oh-cien tasted terrible, was pricey and at least half of it was starch urghh..

Hi Diana
There are too many stalls there. Each type of food has at least 3 stalls. Very mind boggling to choose where to sit and which stall to order. Hope you have better luck next time.

There appears to be some ‘politics’ in that place. I ordered RM3 Hokkien Char from the guy outside the coffee shop, and he asked me where I sat. I said ‘across the road’ and then he said he would have to charge me RM3-50. I asked why. He said since it was across the road he would have to use the disposable plate and not the normal plate (and for that, he wanted 50 sen more!). I said “Forget it.”
