Nicest fried rice – bungkus style
There is this coffee shop which does bustling business during the night. I am not sure of its name but it is at the corner where Baskin Robbins, Jalan Burmah is. I had eaten there quite often but just discovered their fried rice recently.
The guy who runs the stall looks a bit Siamese and probably that’s why he did his fried rice ‘bungkus style’. The rice is fried with prawns, char siew and some vegetables. Then, it is wrapped in an omelette and generously flavoured with mayonnaise and tomato sauce.
The portion is huge and I do wonder how many eggs he used to get such a big omelette. Try it the next time you visit this kopitiam.
