Penang chee cheong fun
When you are feeling peckish and do not really want a full meal, what do you order? Or when you have taken one bowl of noodle and it is not exactly filling enough, what do you need?
Chee Cheong Fun of course!
Chee Cheong = pig’s intestine
Fun = Noodle
But don’t worry, it is not real pig’s instestine but just rice flour rolls that looks like pig’s intestines. Penang Chee Cheong Fun is like no other places because we use the kind of sauce not found in other states. It is because we are an island and have plenty of prawns and shrimps supplies. These are then made into prawn paste, which is the black coloured sauce you see. It is the most delicious light meal but yikes, many people are turn off by the smell and taste of the shrimp paste. So, try it if you dare.

I loved these and always have them whenever I m in Penang. Love the sauce.
