Pictures quality on my iMac and other PCs

Few nights ago, I asked a friend to view the above photo which I uploaded to my online album. I buzzed him on MSN and asked him why my photo seems to have blue tinge. I wanted to know if it was due to my DSLR white balance or what it is. He told me that there is nothing wrong with the above photo. I insisted that I see blue tinge on my white plate and white tea bag. By the way, those are dried roses, jasmines and apple flowers teas.

He told me that he saw white as white. I was puzzled and told him to hang on while I view my own photos from my iMac. I have two computers, an iMac and a laptop. True enough, I saw perfectly clear and nice photos on the iMac! Oh my! lucky I didn’t adjust the colour temperature to suit my eyes.

That taught me a lesson on the importance of checking our camera settings and even verify the final production on other PCs instead of using only one.

As food bloggers, photo qualities make a lot of differences to our blog. I have seen some good food bloggers who can write well with excellent descriptions but they didn’t have a proper camera to bring justice to the taste of the foods. That’s why I am very passionate about my gadgets, i.e. a couple of cameras and latops and computers because they are like my investment.

Being a mac user, I can tell you that the Macintosh system is totally superior to my other system. I wish I have enough money to get the new MacBook. But they are just wishful thinking. However, if my laptop died on me, I will definitely get a MacBook Pro. If cannot afford a new one, I will find used mac .

I kid you not that a Mac is a class of its own and you may want to explore it as your next purchase. Used mac is not only cheaper, it is supported by reliable provider too. For example, there are companies like DV Warehouse who is an avid provider and reseller of used mac who has stocks.     Hi,

    Hi, i check your blog once in a blue-moon, so i’m not sure about all your equipment list. The reason of color difference is NOT due to the brand, but due to a uncalibrated system. Windows systems all have a cooler color than Macs.
