Thai Chillies Sauce – Lingham’s, not Lingam
Thai chillies sauce is a handy bottle of ingredient that can jazz up many dishes, especially sweet and sour dishes. So, I like to keep a bottle around for cooking and also use as a dipping sauce. I prefer Thai chillies sauce over the regular chilli sauce because Thai sauces have kaffir lime leaves which gives the citrusy taste to the dish.
Do you know that Lingham’s now produce Thai Chillie Sauce? Previously, they have a different packaging but now, the bottle is also different. I bought one bottle last week but I have not opened the bottle yet.
I am not sure why I buy it because I still have a full bottle of my preferred Thai Chillies sauce. I suppose all those Lingam’s tape and Lingam’s quote sort of influence me.
This is my favourite Thai Chillies sauce from Thailand. It is fantastic with fried chicken, seafoods and fritters. If you mix it with some tomato ketchup and corn flour, you will get a nice sweet and sour dish as well.
The taste is just right and you can taste the kaffir lime leaves in the sauce. I love it with steamed prawns, crabs, fried chicken and especially pandan chicken.
