Thai food – Deep, fried, crispy pig’s trotter
This is one dish that I dare not indulge much. Lucky too because not many restaurants can make a nice dish of it. I suppose they must have steamed or boiled the pig’s trotter for some time to make it tender before deep frying it.
So, what we get in the end is a very tender and moist pig’s trotter with crispy skin on the outside. It is great when dipped into the Thai sweet and tangy chillie sauce. Not something that we should be eating. But then, it was the New Year so I indulged a bit.
I am not sure what they seasoned the pork’s leg with but it is utterly tasty.
