The spam that everyone loves

This one. Equally threatening to clog up your system. Available easily and very cheap too. Can be deadly if too much. But then, it is illicitly good.

My only pet peeve is why oh why do they have to use the stupid ‘key’ to open the can? I had been cut once and oh boy, the thing is so sharp, blood practically sprayed out. I can still feel the chills when I think of the sight. Out of 10 times, usually 8 times I failed to open it with the ‘key’. Which is why it is doubly dangerous. When the can was half opened, with the sharp tin edges jutting out like that it is hard to get a grip of it when we use the conventional can opener to open it.

But who doesn’t like the smell of deep frying pork luncheon meat wafting through the kitchen when moms are frying them? Slice it thinly and deep fry till crispy. Yum….

I had tried some super expensive Danish spam before. Compared to the China staple brand of Ma Ling, the Danish brand is too mild. I can’t figure out why Danish spam costs RM20 but China’s brand cost only mere RM3+. They are both equally fat and spammy. Not good for the heart, not good for the health. But good for the occasional wicked ‘Canned food day’.
