Watermelon’s Viagra-Like Effects

watermelon

According to an article on WebMD, some researcher claimed that watermelon may boosts the ermmm….performance in bed. No wonder I notice the increase sales in watermelon these days. Here’s an excerpt :

Watermelon may be a natural Viagra, says a researcher. That’s because the popular summer fruit is richer than experts believed in an amino acid called citrulline, which relaxes and dilates blood vessels much like Viagra and other drugs meant to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).

“We have known that watermelon has citrulline,” says Bhimu Patil, PHD, director of the Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center at Texas A&M University, College Station. Until recently, he tells WebMD, scientists thought most of the citrulline was in the watermelon rind. “Watermelon has more citrulline in the edible part than previously believed,” he says.

However, those who are going to pig out on watermelon may want to hear what Chinese believes about this fruit. According to old folks, watermelon can cause ‘wind’ (or rather gas) in our body if we eat them too much. My older relatives said they will feel pains in their joints if they eat. So, do not overeat the watermelon for its purported claim that it has viagra effect. You may end up not able to walk to get in bed! LOL.

It is funny how people can easily believe all the myths and unproven news just to get better ‘performance’. No wonder there are so many kinds of things out there offering to those people who want to be better such as this site with Rize 2. Initially, I thought they are selling rice. Hahaha. However it is not.

I think people have better luck slurping fresh oysters than wolfing down huge watermelons.

Anyway, I am not a fan of watermelon ‘cos I hate spitting out those tiny black seeds. Of course, there are seedless watermelon nowadays but those white seeds are still annoyance to me.
