Weekends are for sweet indulgence
Weekends are usually filled with shopping, walking aimlessly in the mall and of course, it always end with cakes and coffee. But now, with the increase in prices, the cakes we find in the coffee and cake joints seem to have shrunken and yet, the price increases.
So, we have cut down those trips because a slice of cake each hardly fills the tummy of my kids. I prefer to buy a whole cake or bake them myself because there are more to go around and it is cheaper too. A whole cake shared by the whole family is also a good idea as a form of family bonding.
What more is sweeter than all of us crowding around a freshly baked cake with some hot chocolate, coffee or milk? The banters we share and the things to catch up with each other is priceless. So, if you are not one who knows how to bake a cake, you can always refer to the recipes found on my other food blogs.
Otherwise, you can always order some from Laura’s House Bakery. If you think it is impossible to order a cake from overseas, think again. This is what Laura said on the website.
Buttercream cakes made in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, shipped to you anywhere around the world!
Wow, such novelty! A cake that flew across the globe to your home. I have never ordered a buttercream cake or the sinful chocolate cake before. However, my ex-colleagues and I had ordered Christmas cakes from the US before.
Take a look at those delicious cakes and cookies and I hope you have a good weekend!
