Don’t ask me why but suddenly everyone seems to get the brilliant idea to buy canned foods on the same day. I notice that some items are more popular than others. Canned foods actually are very delicious and they are quick and easy to prepare.
Here are some of my favourite canned foods that I will buy and store for the ‘just in case’ scenario.
1) Sardines
2) Baked beans
3) Chillies sotong/squid
4) Fried dace with black beans
5) Yeo’s curry chicken
6) Luncheon meat
7) Fermented, chilly beancurd (white colour) that goes well with porridge
8) Pickled lettuce
9) Bamboo shoots in oil (sold in glass bottles)
10) Pork’s leg with mushroom.
Yummm…just listing them down makes me hungry already.
So, are you keeping some of these canned foods at home?

(March 13, 2008 - 2:07 pm)Hey Lilian, fried dace with black beans was not available in tesco for some time. we had to opt with ayam brand mackeral with black beans which was not nice. now it’s back… after the health minister left.
