Memories of bygone days

It is raining here and the breeze is awfully cold. I was watching TV and there is this advertisement from Horlicks. We never stock Horlicks at home but I suddenly have a hankering for this warm, milky malt drink out of a sudden. With the heavy rain, hubby will not entertain my suggestion of going out to the shop to grab a bottle of Horlicks. Not in this rain.

So, I went to the kitchen to rummage through my larder and found a tin of Nestum instead. It is made of corn and vanillin. I don’t normally fancy the sweet vanillin smell but I will have to make do with it.

It is so nostalgic to sip the hot drink flavoured with a lot of sweet condensed milk. Just remind me of the time when I was young and it was all we have to drink back then. There is not Starbucks, no frothy hot vanilla from CoffeeBeans. So, the memories come flooding back with lots of old stuffs.

One of them is the old Ford Escort that my neighbour had. He would bring us around town in the beat up old Ford and all the kids adored him because he was the only person with a car around the village. Sigh…who even remembers a Ford Escort, right? Now, people are into new models from Ford. If you are looking for ford f 150 reviews, this site will be able to provide you lots of information. And if you surf over, don’t forget to hunt for a picture of Ford Escort.

Oh dear, the rain gets heavier now. I hope we don’t get another flood again.
