Usually, year end means a lot of rain for the East Coast. We can forget about going to the islands there and all the resorts are closed from October onwards. Nature has a way to tame us, huh? When I watch the TV and see the massive flood, I feel so much pity for those folks there.
My family has been caught in a very bad blood in the 70s and even my sister’s piano was not spared. It was a very traumatizing, major disaster that befell my family. We could only stand there and watch the flood water getting higher and higher, destroying the large furniture like the refrigerator, big pieces of furnitures and practically everything were destroyed. Lucky thing my sister’s house was a double storey house and we could move some of the smaller pieces furniture upstairs.
These two day, with all the news on the flood, it gets very depressing for me. With the Christmas holiday coming, we were hoping to head somewhere to gate away from the crowds. But staying put at home seems a better choice. Anyway…when I look at those floods, I think it is so much safer to stay in apartments.
